Diplomats based in Colombo have made a personal contribution of LKR 3.6 million to the government’s “Rebuilding Sri Lanka” Fund, which provides relief to people affected by the recent devastating cyclone.
The relevant cheque was handed over today (11) to Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Mr. Vijitha Herath, by Her Excellency Dewi Gustina Tobing, Ambassador of Indonesia, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Joining the occasion were several Ambassadors and High Commissioners representing their countries based in Colombo, including H.E. Lee Miyon, Ambassador of South Korea, H.E. Dr. Siri Walt, Ambassador of Switzerland, H.E. Ihab I.M. Khalil, Ambassador of Palestine, H.E. Masood Imad, High Commissioner of the Maldives, Mr. Said Al Harbi, Charge d’ Affaires, Embassy of Oman and Mr. Alberto Arcidiacono, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Italy.
