Asiri Surgical Hospital successfully performed Sri Lanka’s first Robot Assisted Surgery, marking a historical milestone in the country’s healthcare sector. The first procedure was successfully completed on 13th July 2026, enabling patients to access advanced surgical technology locally rather than travelling overseas. The technology is utilised by experienced consultant surgeons at Asiri Surgical Hospital across a range of surgical specialties, combining advanced surgical tools with established clinical expertise.
