Moose Clothing Company Commits to Building Sri Lanka’s Future Olympians for 2032

Moose Clothing Company has officially announced the launch of “Moose Future Olympians – Road to 2032”, a long-term development initiative designed to nurture and elevate Sri Lanka’s next generation of Olympic talent. Marking a significant step beyond traditional sponsorships, the programme sets out a clear and structured pathway aimed at guiding young swimmers towards the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane.

Positioned as a sustained commitment rather than a short-term campaign, the initiative reflects Moose’s investment in youth development and high-performance sport in Sri Lanka. The programme begins with a focused group of five promising young swimmers, Senitha Deenal (18), Jessie Seneviratne (19), Akalanka Nisal (15), Disali Lokuwithana (13), and Mark De Zilva (15), each identified for their potential to compete at an international level, with plans already in place to expand the squad over time.

At its core, “Moose Future Olympians – Road to 2032” is designed to build more than individual success stories. It seeks to create a long-term ecosystem that supports swimmers’ growth through consistent funding, structured training, and continuous performance monitoring. The initiative includes monthly financial sponsorship, a comprehensive training framework, and annual performance reviews, ensuring that each swimmer is guided through a disciplined and measurable development journey.

The programme is led by Dr Kaushal Manawadu, whose expertise underscores a high-performance system tailored to meet international standards. This structured approach allows for both continuity and scalability, enabling the programme to evolve into a broader national development platform that can support more swimmers in the years ahead.

Hasib Omar, Chief Executive Officer of Moose Clothing Company, stated, “This is a long-term journey to 2032, and it reflects our belief in the potential of Sri Lankan youth. We are starting with a small group of talented swimmers, but this is just the beginning. Our goal is to build a structured pathway that supports swimmers consistently, helping them grow, compete, and ultimately represent Sri Lanka on the world stage. This is about creating future Olympians, not just sponsoring swimmers.”

The Road to 2032 initiative also brings a strong human dimension to the forefront, highlighting the aspirations of young swimmers who are now part of a journey that extends far beyond immediate competition. It connects families, coaches, and the wider sporting community to a shared vision of national progress, anchored in opportunity and long-term support.

By combining emotional ambition with a credible and structured framework, Moose is positioning itself as a brand that is actively contributing to the future of Sri Lankan sport. The initiative reinforces the idea that meaningful impact comes from sustained effort, careful planning, and a genuine commitment to developing talent over time.

As ‘Moose Future Olympians – Road to 2032’ begins its journey, it signals the start of something far greater than a single programme. It is the foundation of a movement aimed at building the future of Sri Lankan sport, one swimmer at a time.
