Browns EV launched the fast-charging BAW E7 Pro electric vehicle to the Sri Lankan market recently.
The unveiling marks another significant milestone in the evolution of Sri Lanka’s electric mobility landscape and reflects Browns EV’s continued commitment to expanding a diverse portfolio of high-quality, accessible electric vehicles designed to meet the evolving needs of modern consumers.
Positioned as one of the most competitively priced electric vehicles currently available in the local market, the BAW E7 Pro is offered at an attractive price point of Rs. 5.8 million. The model has been developed to deliver a practical and accessible mobility solution for urban drivers, combining efficiency, reliability, and modern technology to support the growing demand for sustainable transportation alternatives in Sri Lanka.
Engineered to deliver dependable performance for daily commuting, the BAW E7 Pro offers a driving range of up to 260 kilometres on a single charge. The vehicle is powered by a 22.29 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, a technology widely recognised for its durability, thermal stability, and enhanced safety characteristics. This battery system ensures reliable long-term performance while supporting the everyday mobility requirements of urban users.
Complementing its efficiency is the vehicle’s fast-charging capability, enabling the battery to be charged from 30 percent to 80 percent in approximately 35 minutes, significantly reducing downtime and enhancing convenience for drivers.
Designed with practicality and modern aesthetics in mind, the BAW E7 Pro features a compact yet refined exterior ideally suited for city driving conditions. The interior has been thoughtfully appointed with contemporary technology, including a 9-inch floating infotainment display, a reverse camera, and a 5-inch digital instrument cluster that delivers essential driving information through an intuitive interface. Safety remains a key priority in the vehicle’s design, with features such as dual airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), and a tyre pressure monitoring system working together to provide drivers with enhanced confidence and protection on the road.
Browns EV Executive Director Vijitha Bandara, emphasised the company’s long-term commitment to supporting the growth of electric mobility in Sri Lanka through both product innovation and infrastructure development. “We have already sold over 1,500 BAW E7 vehicles, and we are planning to establish 100 charging stations by June 2026. In addition, we are offering a 10-year warranty for the battery and a 3-year warranty for the vehicle,” he stated.
