PRISL Announces Two Landmark Industry Events to Showcase Innovation, Sustainability, and Excellence in the Polymer Sector

The Plastics & Rubber Institute of Sri Lanka (PRISL), the national institute  for the development of the plastics and rubber sectors, is proud to announce two major events that will shape the future of the country’s industrial landscape: the PRISL Awards 2025, scheduled for 25th November 2025, and the COMPLAST-RUBEXPO-COMXPO 2025 exhibitions, to be held from 29th to 31st August 2025 at BMICH, Colombo.

Established in 1960, the Plastics and Rubber Institute of Sri Lanka (PRISL) stands as the premier professional institution advancing the country’s polymer science, plastics, and rubber industries. With a mission rooted in technical education, industrial development, innovation, and sustainability, PRISL has been the primary driver of workforce development and technology transfer in the sector for over 65 years.

For much of its history, PRISL was the only provider of formal education and training for the polymer-based industries in Sri Lanka. Today, it continues to lead through its partnerships, research initiatives, industry certifications, and public engagement—remaining an indispensable institution in a billion-dollar industry that spans manufacturing, exports, recycling, and innovation.

The PRISL Awards 2025, taking place on 25th November 2025 at BMICH, will serve as the most prestigious national awards dedicated to the plastics and rubber sectors. This high-profile event will honour outstanding achievements across enterprises, professionals, academics, entrepreneurs, and institutions.

Award categories are designed to reflect industry needs and strategic national priorities and will be adjudicated by independent judging panels, ensuring credibility, transparency, and national prestige.

The PRISL Award is funded by both local and international organizations.

The Plastics & Rubber Institute of Sri Lanka (PRISL), hosts a press conference to officially announce two landmark events – PRISL Awards 2025 and the COMPLAST-RUBEXPO-COMXPO 2025 exhibitions – set to redefine the future of Sri Lanka’s industrial landscape.

The last edition of the PRISL Awards was held in January 2025, recognizing achievements from the year 2024 and celebrating sustainability, technology, and professional leadership in the polymer industry.

From 29th to 31st August 2025, PRISL will host the 8th edition of COMPLAST-RUBEXPO-COMXPO, the nation’s most comprehensive industrial exhibition platform. Held at BMICH, Colombo, the event will feature three concurrent exhibitions, drawing over 500 global and regional exhibitors from more than 300 companies, and attracting thousands of industry professionals, students, policy makers, and investors.

This large-scale platform is designed to facilitate technology transfer, B2B networking, product launches, and skill development, making it an essential event for all players in the manufacturing value chain.
